Donald Trump is an American business magnate and celebrity who served as the forty-fifth President of the United States until 2021. He’s a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in films like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among many others. He’s also famed for his successful social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple company deals around the world. He’s become a controversial figure for some statements he has made concerning Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who is at the top in the race to acquire the upcoming Presidential administration job?” In reaction to the news that Sarah Palin was chosen to serve as the vice president position in the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she was on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two months after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate in the first speech of his Presidency. In his address, President Trump said he was passing the torch to his successor at the White House, stating that he looks forward to working together with another president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and praised him for his work in Obama’s first semester. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, saying that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom nobody ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a major rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of supporters. In his address, President Trump called upon each and each U.S. citizen to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the importance of the United States Supreme Court, claiming that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to state that he could have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it weren’t for the fact that President Obama chose somebody who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and many members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the second presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received more than twice the support of Mitt Romney, who obtained about eight per cent of the vote. If President Trump can manage to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his hands, it’s extremely possible he will have a chance to enact as a number of the policies of his campaign promise as you can. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will need to manage a President Trump who will be even more willing to cooperate with them on all policy problems. The resistance to the Trump agenda is likely to increase as congressmen and women learn just how much power and influence the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is very likely to take the governorship after he is re-elected. His odds of passing any significant laws or royal commissions are very good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. He also took office at a time when the U.S. monetary policy is controlled by the Obama administration, which is working to reduce the federal debt and increase taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also require the cooperation of congress to get his agenda passed and it’s doubtful that he is going to be able to get his favored law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the help of members of congress. President Trump made it quite clear he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but rather he intends to”fight for” the policies he thinks are ideal for the American people. If the president can somehow get enough congressional Republicans on board along with his schedule, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite excellent. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there is little doubt that the president will need to work with both houses of congress to get this legislation passed.
One of the many places where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is on the importance of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the validity of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has made it clear that he does not want to see the supreme court reduced, but it is widely believed he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president could garner sufficient support from both Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he’ll have an ally in the court and possibly get the high court to eliminate the prospect of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether this ends up happening or not, it is one of the numerous opportunities the president must use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
