Donald Trump is an American business magnate and actor who functioned as the forty-fifth President of America until 2021. He’s a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in movies like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among several others. He’s also famed for his successful social media presence, in particular Twitter, and for his multiple company deals across the world. He has become a controversial figure because of some statements he’s made concerning Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who’s at the top in the race to acquire the upcoming Presidential administration job?” In reaction to the news that Sarah Palin had been chosen to serve as the vice president position at the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she was on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two months after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate in the first address of his Presidency. In his speech, President Trump said he was passing the torch to his successor at the White House, saying that he looks forward to working with another president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and praised him for his work in Obama’s first term. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, stating that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom nobody ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a major rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of fans. In his address, President Trump called upon each and each U.S. taxpayer to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the significance of the United States Supreme Court, claiming that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to say that he could have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it weren’t for the fact that President Obama chose someone who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and lots of members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the next presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received over twice the aid of Mitt Romney, who obtained about eight percent of the vote. If President Trump can manage to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his control, it’s extremely likely that he will have a opportunity to enact as many of the policies of his campaign promise as you can. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will need to deal with a President Trump who’ll be even more inclined to collaborate together on all policy problems. The resistance to the Trump agenda is bound to increase as congressmen and women learn precisely how much power and influence the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is likely to take the governorship after he is re-elected. His odds of passing any substantial laws or royal commissions are quite good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. In addition, he took office at a time when the U.S. fiscal policy is controlled by the Obama administration, which is working to decrease the federal debt and increase taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also require the collaboration of congress to get his agenda passed and it’s doubtful that he will have the ability to get his favored law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the support of members of congress. President Trump made it very clear that he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but rather he plans to”fight for” the policies he thinks are right for the American people. If the president could somehow find enough congressional Republicans on board along with his schedule, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite excellent. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there is little doubt that the president will have to work with both houses of congress to get this law passed.
One of the many areas where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is to the value of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the legitimacy of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has already made it clear he doesn’t wish to see the supreme court reduced, but it is widely believed that he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president could garner sufficient support from either the Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he will have an ally in the court and possibly get the high court to eliminate the prospect of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether this ends up happening or not, it’s one of the many opportunities the president must use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
