Donald Trump is an American business magnate and actor who served as the forty-fifth President of America until 2021. He’s a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in films such as The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among several others. He’s also famed for his successful social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple business deals around the world. He has become a controversial figure for some statements he has made regarding Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who is at the top in the race to acquire the next Presidential administration job?” In response to the news that Sarah Palin was chosen to serve as the vice president position at the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she had been on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two months after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate from the first speech of his Presidency. In his speech, President Trump said that he was passing the torch to his successor in the White House, stating that he looks forward to working together with the next president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and commended him for his work at Obama’s first term. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, saying that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom nobody ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a significant rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of supporters. In his address, President Trump called upon each and every single U.S. citizen to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the importance of the United States Supreme Court, asserting that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to say he would have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it weren’t for the fact that President Obama chose someone who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and many members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the next presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received more than twice the support of Mitt Romney, who obtained about eight percent of the vote. If President Trump can manage to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his hands, it’s very likely that he will have a opportunity to enact as a number of the policies of his campaign promise as possible. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will need to deal with a President Trump who’ll be more inclined to cooperate together on all policy issues. The resistance to the Trump agenda is likely to increase as congressmen and women learn just how much power and sway the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is very likely to take the governorship after he’s re-elected. His chances of passing any substantial laws or royal commissions are very good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. He also took office at a time when the U.S. fiscal policy is controlled by the Obama government, which is working to decrease the federal debt and raise taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also require the collaboration of congress to get his agenda passed and it is doubtful he will have the ability to get his favored law, known as the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the help of members of congress. President Trump made it very clear he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but instead he plans to”fight for” the policies he believes are right for the American people. If the president could somehow get enough congressional Republicans on board along with his schedule, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite good. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there’s little doubt that the president will have to work with both houses of congress to get this legislation passed.
One of the many areas where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is on the value of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are trying to use the court to challenge the legitimacy of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has already made it clear that he doesn’t wish to see the supreme court decreased, but it’s widely believed he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president can garner sufficient support from both Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he’ll have an ally in the court and possibly get the high court to eliminate the prospect of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether this ends up happening or not, it is one of the many opportunities the president must use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
