Donald Trump is an American business magnate and actor who functioned as the forty-fifth President of the United States until 2021. He is a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in movies like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among many others. He’s also famed for his successful social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple company deals around the world. He’s become a controversial figure for some statements he has made concerning Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who is at the top in the race to get the next Presidential administration job?” In response to the news that Sarah Palin was chosen to serve as the vice president position at the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she had been on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two months after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate from the first address of his Presidency. In his address, President Trump said he was passing the torch to his successor at the White House, stating that he looks forward to working together with another president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and praised him for his work in Obama’s first term. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, stating that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom no one ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a major rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of fans. In his address, President Trump called upon each and each U.S. citizen to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the importance of the United States Supreme Court, claiming that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to state that he could have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it were not for the fact that President Obama chose someone who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and lots of members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the second presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received more than double the support of Mitt Romney, who received about eight percent of the vote. If President Trump can manage to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his hands, it is very likely that he will have a chance to enact as a number of the policies of his campaign promise as possible. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will have to manage a President Trump who’ll be more willing to collaborate together on all policy problems. The resistance to the Trump agenda is bound to increase as congressmen and women learn just how much power and influence the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is very likely to take the governorship after he is re-elected. His chances of passing any significant legislation or royal commissions are very good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. He also took office at a time when the U.S. monetary policy is controlled by the Obama government, which is working to decrease the federal debt and raise taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also need the cooperation of congress to get his agenda passed and it’s doubtful that he will have the ability to get his preferred law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the support of members of congress. President Trump made it very clear he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but rather he intends to”fight for” the policies he believes are ideal for the American people. If the president can somehow get enough congressional Republicans on board along with his schedule, the odds of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite excellent. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there’s little doubt that the president will need to work with both houses of congress to get this law passed.
One of the many areas where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is to the importance of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the validity of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has made it clear that he does not wish to see the supreme court decreased, but it’s widely believed he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president could garner enough support from both Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he’ll have an ally in the court and potentially get the high court to eliminate the possibility of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether this ends up happening or not, it’s one of the many opportunities the president must use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
