Donald Trump is an American business magnate and actor who served as the forty-fifth President of the United States until 2021. He’s a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in movies like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among several others. He is also famous for his prolific social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple company deals around the world. He has become a controversial figure because of some statements he has made regarding Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who’s at the top in the race to acquire the upcoming Presidential administration job?” In response to the news that Sarah Palin had been chosen to serve as the vice president position at the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she was on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two months after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate in the first address of his Presidency. In his speech, President Trump said that he was passing the torch to his successor at the White House, saying that he looks forward to working together with the next president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and commended him for his work in Obama’s first term. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, stating that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom no one ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a significant rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of fans. In his speech, President Trump called upon each and every single U.S. taxpayer to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the importance of the United States Supreme Court, claiming that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to say he could have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it were not for the fact that President Obama chose somebody who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and lots of members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the next presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received more than twice the aid of Mitt Romney, who received about eight percent of the vote. If President Trump can figure out how to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his hands, it’s very likely that he will have a opportunity to enact as a number of the policies of his campaign promise as you can. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will need to deal with a President Trump who’ll be more inclined to collaborate with them on all policy problems. The resistance to the Trump agenda is bound to increase as congressmen and women learn precisely how much power and sway the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is likely to take the governorship after he is re-elected. His chances of passing any significant legislation or royal commissions are very good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. He also took office at a time when the U.S. monetary policy is controlled by the Obama government, which is working to reduce the federal debt and increase taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also need the cooperation of congress to get his agenda passed and it’s doubtful he will have the ability to get his favored law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the help of members of congress. President Trump made it quite clear that he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but instead he plans to”fight for” the policies he thinks are ideal for the American people. If the president could somehow get enough congressional Republicans on board along with his schedule, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite good. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there is little doubt that the president will need to work with both houses of congress to get this legislation passed.
One of the numerous places where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is on the value of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the validity of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has made it clear he doesn’t want to see that the supreme court decreased, but it is widely believed he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president can garner enough support from both Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he’ll have an ally at the court and potentially get the high court to eliminate the prospect of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether that ends up happening or not, it is one of the numerous opportunities the president must use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
