Donald Trump is an American business magnate and celebrity who served as the forty-fifth President of America until 2021. He is a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in movies like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among several others. He is also famed for his successful social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple company deals around the world. He’s become a controversial figure for some statements he’s made regarding Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who’s at the top in the race to get the upcoming Presidential administration job?” In reaction to the news that Sarah Palin was chosen to serve as the vice president position in the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she was on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two weeks after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate from the first speech of his Presidency. In his speech, President Trump said that he was passing the torch to his successor in the White House, stating that he looks forward to working together with another president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and praised him for his work in Obama’s first term. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, saying that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom nobody ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a major rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of supporters. In his address, President Trump called upon each and every single U.S. taxpayer to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the significance of the United States Supreme Court, asserting that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to say that he would have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it were not for the fact that President Obama chose someone who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and lots of members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the next presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received over twice the support of Mitt Romney, who received about eight per cent of the vote. If President Trump can figure out how to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his control, it is very possible he will have a opportunity to enact as a number of the policies of his campaign promise as possible. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will have to deal with a President Trump who will be even more willing to cooperate with them on all policy problems. The resistance to the Trump agenda is likely to increase as congressmen and women learn just how much power and influence the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is likely to take the governorship after he’s re-elected. His chances of passing any significant laws or royal commissions are quite good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. In addition, he took office at a time when the U.S. monetary policy is controlled by the Obama government, which is working to decrease the federal debt and raise taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also require the collaboration of congress to get his agenda passed and it is doubtful he is going to be able to get his favored law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the support of members of congress. President Trump made it very clear he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but rather he intends to”fight for” the policies he thinks are right for the American people. If the president can somehow get enough congressional Republicans on board with his agenda, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite excellent. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there’s little doubt that the president will have to work with both houses of congress to get this legislation passed.
One of the numerous places where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is to the value of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the legitimacy of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has made it clear that he doesn’t want to see that the supreme court reduced, but it is widely believed that he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president could garner sufficient support from either the Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he will have an ally in the court and possibly get the high court to eliminate the possibility of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether this ends up happening or not, it is one of the many opportunities the president must use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
