Donald Trump is an American business magnate and celebrity who functioned as the forty-fifth President of America until 2021. He’s a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in movies like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among many others. He’s also famed for his successful social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple company deals across the world. He has become a controversial figure because of some statements he has made concerning Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who’s at the top in the race to get the upcoming Presidential administration job?” In response to the news that Sarah Palin had been chosen to serve as the vice president position at the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she had been on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two weeks after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate from the first address of his Presidency. In his speech, President Trump said that he was passing the torch to his successor at the White House, saying that he looks forward to working with another president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and praised him for his work at Obama’s first term. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, saying that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom no one ever liked to operate against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a major rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of supporters. In his address, President Trump called upon each and each U.S. citizen to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the significance of the United States Supreme Court, claiming that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to state he would have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it were not for the fact that President Obama chose someone who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and many members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the second presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received more than twice the support of Mitt Romney, who received about eight per cent of the vote. If President Trump can manage to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his control, it is extremely likely he will have a chance to enact as a number of the policies of his campaign promise as possible. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will have to manage a President Trump who will be even more inclined to collaborate with them on all policy issues. The resistance to the Trump agenda is bound to increase as congressmen and women learn just how much power and influence the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is likely to take the governorship after he is re-elected. His odds of passing any substantial laws or royal commissions are quite good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. He also took office at a time when the U.S. monetary policy is controlled by the Obama government, which is working to decrease the federal debt and increase taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also require the cooperation of congress to get his agenda passed and it is doubtful that he is going to have the ability to get his favored law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the help of members of congress. President Trump made it quite clear he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but instead he plans to”fight for” the policies he thinks are right for the American people. If the president could somehow get enough congressional Republicans on board with his agenda, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite excellent. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there’s little doubt that the president will need to work with both houses of congress to get this law passed.
One of the many places where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is on the value of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the validity of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has made it clear that he does not wish to see that the supreme court reduced, but it’s widely believed that he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president can garner enough support from either the Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he will have an ally at the court and potentially get the high court to eliminate the possibility of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether this ends up happening or not, it is one of the many opportunities the president has to use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
