Donald Trump is an American business magnate and celebrity who served as the forty-fifth President of the United States until 2021. He’s a celebrity known for his appearances on television and in films like the Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, among several others. He’s also famed for his successful social media presence, specifically Twitter, and for his multiple business deals around the world. He’s become a controversial figure for some statements he has made regarding Mexico and the United States taking a harder stance on illegal immigration.
In early August, President Trump sent out a tweet asking “Who is at the top in the race to get the next Presidential administration job?” In response to the news that Sarah Palin had been chosen to serve as the vice president position at the Trump administration. President Trump later told reporters that she was on his “very shortlist” for the position.
Less than two weeks after taking office in January of this year, President Trump addressed the United States Senate from the first address of his Presidency. In his address, President Trump said he was passing the torch to his successor at the White House, stating that he looks forward to working together with the next president to”usher the prosperity.” He referred to former President Obama as a “Good President” and commended him for his work at Obama’s first semester. He also took a shot at his chief competitor in the 2020 election, Mitt Romney, stating that the former Massachusetts Governor was a “scorched vet” whom no one ever liked to run against.
Two months later, President Trump hosted a significant rally in Pennsylvania, addressing hundreds of supporters. In his speech, President Trump called upon each and each U.S. citizen to”take charge” and help to shape the future of America. President Trump also repeatedly referred to the significance of the United States Supreme Court, claiming that the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is”not acceptable” and”ridiculous” because millions of Americans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet. The president went so far as to state he would have nominated Mitt Romney for the U.S. Supreme Court if it weren’t for the fact that President Obama chose someone who was a Massachusetts liberal-socialist.
The United States citizens, and many members of Congress, were impressed with President Trump’s performance in the second presidential election. According to exit polls, Trump received more than double the aid of Mitt Romney, who received about eight per cent of the vote. If President Trump can manage to secure the legislative branch and keep the Senate in his hands, it is extremely possible he will have a opportunity to enact as many of the policies of his campaign promise as you can. If the Democrats can somehow retain the Senate, they will need to deal with a President Trump who’ll be even more inclined to collaborate together on all policy problems. The resistance to the Trump agenda is bound to increase as congressmen and women learn precisely how much power and sway the Trump administration truly has in their hands.
President Trump is very likely to take the governorship after he is re-elected. His odds of passing any significant laws or royal commissions are very good considering how much support he received from the voters during the election. In addition, he took office at a time when the U.S. fiscal policy is controlled by the Obama administration, which is working to decrease the federal debt and raise taxes for the United States citizenry.
The president will also need the cooperation of congress to get his agenda passed and it is doubtful that he will be able to get his preferred law, called the Affordable Care Act, passed through the U.S. house of representatives or the U.S. Senate without the help of members of congress. President Trump made it very clear he is not interested in negotiating a deal through congress, but instead he plans to”fight for” the policies he believes are ideal for the American men and women. If the president can somehow find enough congressional Republicans on board with his schedule, the chances of getting the affordable care act passed in its present form are quite good. With the House and the Senate split into two parties, there is little doubt that the president will need to work with both houses of congress to get this legislation passed.
One of the numerous areas where President Trump can use his bully pulpit to promote his policies is on the importance of the Supreme Court. The Democrats are attempting to use the court to challenge the legitimacy of the president, while the Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the government operating. The president has already made it clear he doesn’t wish to see that the supreme court decreased, but it is widely believed that he may use his bully pulpit to get the Republican congress to get behind his nominee, Merrick Garland. If the president could garner sufficient support from either the Democrats or the Republicans for the nomination, he’ll have an ally in the court and possibly get the high court to eliminate the prospect of a divided verdict in favor of Mr. Garland. Whether that ends up happening or not, it’s one of the numerous opportunities the president has to use his bully pulpit to promote his policies and make America great again.
