Congressional Minutes

To build momentum and excitement around Congress Week, we have devised a this-day-in-history publicity campaign called The Congressional Minute, specifically focused on congressional history. For each week leading up to Congress Week, and each day of the week itself, we have compiled snippets of congressional history for you to engage with. Each snippet is brief and provides a look inside of a moment in congressional history, from the grand and impressive to the silly and comical.

All of the snippets are free to use and distribute (through social media, for example), we simply ask that you link to the Congress Week website and the appropriate source – either the House Office of Art & Archives or the Senate Historical Office.

The following is a schedule of the snippets which should link out to the appropriate source. We would encourage you to feel free to post as many of these snippets as you like, with the hope that you would post 1/week during March and 1/day during the first week of April (Congress Week). But any posts would be appreciated and will make a difference in spreading the word about Congress Week!
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
